Privacy Policy

Effective: January 27, 2026 Last updated: January 27, 2026

We don't collect your data. Everything stays on your device. We can't access your information even if we wanted to — no servers, no tracking, no telemetry.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This includes:

None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party. It stays in your browser's local storage.

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

We genuinely cannot see what you're doing with the extension. There are no servers on our end receiving data.

Premium License Validation

If you purchase premium features through Gumroad:

  1. You receive a license key from Gumroad after purchase
  2. You enter this key in the extension's Settings
  3. Your browser stores the key locally
  4. Your browser validates the key directly with Gumroad's API
  5. Validation happens periodically (approximately every 7 days)

What we see: Nothing. The validation happens entirely between your browser and Gumroad's servers. We never receive or have access to your license key.

What Gumroad sees: Gumroad receives license validation requests from your browser. They handle this according to their own privacy policy: gumroad.com/privacy

Service Notes and Sensitive Data

⚠ Important: If you choose to store passwords, API keys, or other sensitive information in service notes, this data is stored in plaintext in your browser's local storage. Anyone with access to your computer could potentially access this data. Use a dedicated password manager instead.

We are not responsible for the security of data you choose to store in service notes.

Protocol Handlers and External Applications

When you launch services using protocol handlers (SSH, VNC, RDP, etc.), the extension constructs a protocol URL and your browser opens it with the registered application. The connection happens entirely outside the extension. We don't monitor, log, or have access to these connections.

Permissions Explanation

These permissions are necessary for the extension to function. None of them allow us to access your data remotely.

Third-Party Services

Gumroad (Payment Processing): If you purchase premium features, payment processing is handled entirely by Gumroad. We never receive or have access to your payment information. Gumroad's privacy policy governs this data: gumroad.com/privacy

External Services: When you use protocol handlers or launch services, you're connecting to third-party servers. We have no relationship with these services and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you control data retention. Your data persists until you uninstall the extension. You can delete profiles and services at any time through Settings, or export your entire configuration as a JSON backup.

Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13. Since we don't collect data from anyone, this is largely a formality — but we're stating it for legal compliance.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how the extension handles data, we'll update this policy with a new "Last Updated" date and note the change in the extension's changelog.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect your data, most data protection rights are already inherently yours. You control all the data because it's stored locally on your device.
